Background:
The Piscataway Basement Tapes is a collection of various recordings from Alan's tape catalogs.
Turnaround was done as a "last salute" to Alan's Roland Jupiter-6 synthesizer, just before he sold it ... Picture You was produced by Craig Krampf, at his studio in Brentwood, Tennessee and features this famed drummer doing his thing with percussion ... Circle of Fire, Father & Son and Hard To Find were recorded live at Rubber Ball Productions, in North Brunswick, New Jersey -- Alan is playing his 1968 Gibson Hummingbird guitar, and on Circle of Fire he brought along his 1966 Hohner Marine Band No.365 Harmonica (key of G) ... Lady features Mike Toth on bass guitar ... Buffalo, Melody For A Listener, Songbird, Second Pond and Sun Mass Recital were all recorded at home with Alan playing his 1975 Guild F212-XL 12-string guitar and Michael Boni playing acoustic lead guitar.
